Awraam Zapounidis is a technology and industry leader with more than 30 years of experience
in industrial digitalization, AI, and large-scale transformation programs across manufacturing,
energy, and process industries.

He is currently the CEO of SyntelliQ Group, where he leads the development of AI-driven
industrial solutions that combine deep sector expertise with advanced digital technologies to
accelerate transformation in manufacturing and energy markets across the DACH region and
Southeastern Europe.

Before founding SyntelliQ, Awraam held senior leadership roles at some of the world’s leading
industrial technology companies. He served as Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe at
AVEVA, where he drove growth in industrial data infrastructure, process simulation, and
advanced analytics. Prior to that, he was Vice President EMEA at Siemens, focusing on Industrial
IoT platforms, industrial analytics, and digital innovation including MindSphere and Mendix.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly two decades at GE, where he led European sales for digital
transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives, working on technologies such as MES, asset
performance management, and predictive analytics.

Awraam began his entrepreneurial journey in 1991 by founding his first start-up focused on
industrial automation and SCADA solutions.

Throughout his career, he has worked with leading global companies including BASF, Linde
Engineering, Novartis, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Roche, Bayer, and ThyssenKrupp, delivering
large-scale industrial data platforms, MES deployments, predictive analytics solutions, and
digital twin architectures.

He is widely recognized as a strategic technologist and advocate for Industrial AI, with deep
expertise across IT, OT, IIoT ecosystems, enterprise platforms, cloud-edge architectures, and
operational excellence systems.
